I thought I loved playing MLB The Show, but I don't know if I would ever go back after playing SMB. Along the way I get to know each team pretty well and I start imagining rivalries developing. Since I love the team creation/customization almost as much as actually playing the game, this allows me to create a new team, have fun playing the team for a couple weeks, then doing it all over again. I find that this gives me a pretty good balance of the game. And I would also love CPU-generated player retirement and new player replacements in a franchise-type mode. Though it'd be great if stats tracked across seasons and there were player transactions that would allow me to just trade the players to my new team each season. I also create the same couple players so that they "travel" with me each season. I play as a different team each season, each time fully customizing a team's colors, logos, and player names so that over time the league will become more and more my own creation. 16-team playoffs with best-of-five series.
